Citrus Pad Privacy Policy · Updated 2026-10-06

A short note on your data.

Citrus Pad does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Everything you enter stays on your own device.

Citrus Pad is an offline map for recording the countries and US states you have visited, with an optional trip date, note and rating for each one. The pages that follow describe, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with the things you type into it.

I · Collection

Information we collect

None. There is no account, no sign-in, no registration form and no contact details requested at any point. We have no way to see what you enter, because nothing you enter is sent anywhere.

II · Storage

What lives on your device

For the app to work, the following is kept in the operating system's local storage, on your phone, and nowhere else:

None of it is uploaded. Uninstalling the app removes every byte.

III · Permissions

What the app asks for

Citrus Pad requests no runtime permissions: no location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts or notifications. The map does not know where you are; you mark places by tapping them. The Android manifest declares the normal android.permission.INTERNET permission, which comes with the standard Flutter project template. It is not a dangerous permission, you are never prompted for it, and the app never uses it, because it contains no networking code.

IV · Network

What goes over the wire

Citrus Pad is fully offline. The entire atlas — every country, every US state, every flag and the map artwork — is bundled inside the app, so it works the same in airplane mode. There are no API calls, no map-tile downloads, no remote configuration, no crash reporting and no update checks.

V · Third parties

Who else is involved

None are integrated. There is no analytics, advertising, attribution, crash-reporting, social-login or payment component. The open-source packages the app is built with (Flutter, Riverpod, Hive, fl_chart, flutter_svg, icons_plus, flutter_animate, intl) run entirely on the device and transmit nothing.

VI · Children

Younger readers

Citrus Pad is a general-audience travel diary with no social features, no messaging, no sharing and no purchases. It is not directed at children under 13. Because nothing is collected about the person using the app, there is no children’s information to hold or delete, and it is compatible with COPPA and GDPR-K by design.

VII · Your rights

What you can do

Everything the app knows is visible and editable inside it. Your places, dates, notes and ratings show on the Map, Browse and Journal screens; open any place to change them, or clear it from its card, its Browse row or by swiping it out of the Journal. Uninstalling Citrus Pad removes the whole record from your device. There is no server copy to request, export or delete.

VIII · Revisions

Changes to this policy

If anything in this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be revised, and material changes will appear in the app's release notes.
